I’ve been writing code and leading teams and projects for over eighteen years. I’m currently an operations manager with Wavemaker, but I am and always have been a builder at heart. I’m motivated by a desire to understand and use technology to deliver solutions.
Before I joined Wavemaker, I spent over a decade with creative agencies in Manila, like Wunderman Thompson and Leo Burnett. I built over a hundred websites and apps, and led software development teams.
At the same time, I also spent a few years teaching at university, where I lectured on ecommerce and web development. This experience sparked my interest in digital marketing, and helped me develop the ability to simplify and communicate complex technical ideas.
I moved to Hong Kong to take up a technology leadership role with Red Fuse. My principal contribution was to help manage the migration of all of our client’s websites to a new platform. I also created and led regional ad operations and digital production teams.
Through my time with Red Fuse, I gained an awareness of the wider marketing technology stack, and a better understanding of how it can be used to accelerate growth.
When I joined Wavemaker a few years later, I standardized our clients’ global media planning operations, and led its rollout across all of our teams. Together with our data and technology leaders, we also built global dashboards to help our clients track their media spending and digital campaigns.
Our work has helped drive efficiency, reduce costs, and delivered added value. It has strengthened our relationship with our clients, and elevated our image as a trusted partner.
“How can we innovate to address the issues that we and our clients face?”
“Which technologies and platforms are best suited to meet our clients’ needs?”
“What are these new technologies like deep learning, blockchain, and the metaverse, and what problems can they help solve?”
As a lifelong learner, these are the kinds of challenges that drive me, and which I look forward to working on.
